One of the stamp sets we received in our convention bags this year was the Easy Events Stamp Set pictured on page 57 of the Idea Book & Catalog. I like this new, updated stamp set! It hits all kinds of occasions - birthday, friendship, baby, wedding, Christmas, thank you, and more!
The layout is one that I cased from fellow Founder's Circle achiever, Mary Fish. But I changed the stamps and the colors and the DSP. I thought it was fun and not something I would have created on my own.
I spent some time working on the focal point on this card. I stamped the image in Jet Black Stazon ink. I then colored the icing with Peach Parfait Classic Ink using my blender pen. I colored the cake stand with Baja Breeze using the same technique. I wasn't happy with my cupcake wrapper the first time around so I decided to stamp the image on Just Add Cake DSP and cut out the wrapper and paper piece it together. I love the effect! To top it off, I then coated the icing with Crystal Effects so that it would have a shiny look. YUM! My final embellishment was to add just a few rhinestones. I love it.
