Last Friday night I was supposed to help one of my downline members host her very first workshop. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the workshop. I was really bummed. I was SO looking forward to stamping with her family and friends. Her workshops bring back many happy memories. Why? Because she was my very first hostess!!! I remember getting to her house an hour before the workshop began! I set up HUNDREDS of samples. And it was that workshop that launched my business! Looking back, I can see that I've had at least eight new demonstrators sign up. I've had countless workshops. And, a stamp club even started that's still running today. So, yes, I was sad when I couldn't relive that first workshop and help a new demonstrator grow - even if she is just in it for the discount (like I was four years ago).
BUT, while I was sad the workshop was canceled, I was thrilled that I could attend another event. One of my downline members and her downline, family, and customers were getting together for a "PMS" (Pizza Music Stamping) night. As soon as I realized I could now attend, I quickly responded. We sat around listening to musicals on the tv, stamping, and chowing down on homemade flatbread pizza. But, that also meant that I needed a stamping project! It was a bit too early to work on Founder's Circle swaps - I need Holiday Mini goodies for that. So, I made a stack of Thank You cards.
This card was inspired by one of the Make & Takes from convention. It was actually a little 3x3 love note. But, I loved how they used that new border punch, distressed it, and tied linen thread through it. I loved the color combo - Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler, and Lucky Limeade. And, I've been trying to use the Raining Flowers stamp set for awhile. It was one that we got for free in our convention bags. Maybe you'll see one of these show up in your mailbox!!!
