OH MY GOSH!!! What an incredible dinner. We had SO much fun and such great conversation that I completely forgot about PILLOW GIFTS!!! And, just as I was expecting, it was a huge box of products including two items that we've never seen before!!! That's all I can tell you. BUT, I can show you the projects that I make with them tomorrow! How's that sound?
Okay...let's back up a bit to dinner. 'Cause it was great. I walked in the doors and started to cry a little. One of my favoritest Stampin' Up! employees, Bonnie, said that it was her goal to make me cry at every event/gathering/meal or whatever. WELL, they're succeeding so far!
The theme this year is Tea Party or something like that, so I was expecting something tea-ish. I wasn't wrong. BUT, what I wasn't expecting was the AROMA of 375+ roses filling the dining room at dinner (not counting the centerpieces). At each of our seats, we found a teacup placecard holder with three beautiful rose buds. Each teacup was different. The tables were draped with lace. And our chairs were adorned with purple sashes. So elegant. My group is called the White Gloves. Well, one of our group, Janet Wakeland, ran to the craft store and bought each of us white sating gloves and pearls!!! We looked so elegant. Pictures were being snapped, women were giggling - you could feel the energy in the air.
I sat with a WONDERFUL group of women who have been demonstrators for 4-17 years! We talked shop for most of the dinner - which I loved. For dinner, we were served a salad - which I forgot to snap a photo of. The entree was beef tenderloin with some kind of creamy sauce and asparagus served with mashed potatoes and carrots and watermelon. I ate every last morsel - except for the asparagus.
Dessert was some kind of yummy cheesecake. I ate pretty much all of it, but because I wore my smallest jeans on the first day (knowing I won't be losing weight this week), I couldn't finish!
Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I completely forgot about pillow gifts. We were so wrapped up in chatting that we were probably the last to leave the dining room. And, on the way back to the elevators were hearing all kinds of buzz. I may have squealed a little when I peeked in and saw a Big Shot Die Storage Box sitting on my bed. It was decorated, of course.
Now,I'm going to show you MOST of what's inside this box. There are VERY strict rules around what I can and cannot post. One of the best perks of all is getting products that have never been seen before. These are products out of the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog (at least I would assume). And, if you'd like to get your hands on them, I have a special event planned for them on October 19th - a special Opportuni-Tea Night.
We received three ink pads - Pool Party, Poppy Parade, and Peach Parfait. We also received linen thread, clothespins, notecards/envelopes, paper daisies, an adorable tea-themed stamp set, and a brand new Big Shot Die. You can look as hard as you want, but the stamp set is upside down and the die isn't even in the picture! It's shaped differently than any other die that we sell so I was afraid to show that at all.
I see that quite a few of you have already left comments on my last post for the blog candy. I'm so flattered to see that people actually do check out my blog. I will be blogging all week. AND, it's not the last blog candy that I'll be giving away either this week. Why should I be the only one to get free goodies, right?
Well, I may turn in early tonight. I stayed up WAY too late last night in Vegas. I'm addicted to a new game and could have stayed up all night. But, not sleeping through Founder's Circle was WAY more important. What's on the agenda for tomorrow? I love this:
- 6:30 - 10:30 - breakfast
- 9:00 - 6:00 - hospitality room open (we can work on Make & Takes, win more prizes, and eat LOTS of food)
- 12:00 - 5:00 - We have the option to go shopping and there's a shuttle service
- 8:00 - 10:00 - Tea Time Talk & Swap (in our jammies).
Definitely check back tomorrow for possibly another blog candy, more photos - possibly of sneak peek projects, my swap, and other fun stuff. OH, and you DEFINITELY want to stop by my open house on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th (apparently there was a typo on the flyer). You should see the gorgeous swaps! I haven't been given any, but I've certainly helped others finish theirs. Quite a few demonstrators were feverishly punching, adhering, and adorning absolutely GORGEOUS cards tonight before dinner. They will all be on display at my open house.

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW WOW WOW!
HAVE A GREAT DAY
