Here's the second project my Die Cut Divas made this month. It's an adorable treat holder inspired by Shelli. She created this project for one of Stampin' Up!s Regional Conferences. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be a Die Cut Diva project! I know many of them already own the Petal Cone Die. And, I love to show them new and fun ways to use products they already own - and throw in a few they don't!!!
The body of the bat was made using the Petal Cone Die. I cut off the "flaps" and cut a semi-circle on two of the sides to create the pointy ears. The wings, according to Shelli, were created using the Perfect Pennant Die. I used the largest pennant on the Die then took out three semi-circles from the bottom of each wing using a circle punch. I used the new Simply Scored tool to score the top of the pennant to glue onto the body. The wings were also embossed using the Spiderweb Embossing Folder. And, like Shelli, I stamped and embossed bats from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set all over the body. I punched 1/2" circles for the eyes and put some glimmer brads through the middle. I created fangs using the Pennant Punch. The mouth was drawn using a white gel pen. I created a handle using narrow Basic Black Grosgrain ribbon. And, I created some filler using narrow strips of Frightful Sight DSP. My husband thought this guy was REALLY cute when he saw it! WOO HOO!!!

OMG this looks like a lot of work! Really cute!
