A friend of mine is getting married on Valentine's Day and her shower was yesterday. Unfortunately, I couldn't attend but I still wanted to give her something! I'm bummed that I didn't get to see what she thought of my card. I love how it turned out. It was inspired by the card at the bottom of this post. It was a swap card I received at Leadership from Kathy Alt. I must admit, her swap was one of my favorites this year! So, when it came time to make a shower card, I just HAD to case hers! Maybe I should have saved it for the wedding.
The bride's colors are retired Stampin' Up! colors - Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red. I had just a bit of it laying around! I'm actually embarrassed to say just how much! It was easy to replicate the card using her colors. But, I must admit, I don't think I'd be making a stack of these as swaps, but I'm certainly glad Kathy did!
Here are the supplies I used on my card:
- Whimsical Words Stamp Set (SAB)
- Riding Hood Red Classic Ink (Retired)
- Pink Pirouette Card Stock (Retired)
- Riding Hood Red Card Stock (Retired)
- Whisper White Card Stock
- Basic Black Card Stock
- Bride Specialty Paper
- Pinking Hearts Border Punch (SAB)
- Full Heart Punch
- Big Shot
- Extended Cutting Pads
- Movers & Shapers Die
- Punch Windows Magnetic Movers and Shapers
- Whisper White Narrow Grosgrain Ribbon
- Pretties Kit
As promised, here's Kathy's original swap card...
This is soooo cute! I have a belated wedding card I need to send, I will have to CASE this!
