I received my PaperCrafts magazine in the mail last week and was thrilled that I had time to look through it! I was inspired by SO many of the projects. It arrived at just the right time. So many of you ask where I come up with all of the ideas. Well, honestly, I'm inspired by cards that I find online or in magazines...but sometimes I come up with them on my very own. Today's card was inspired by a card in the March/April 2010 issue of PaperCrafts magazine. It's on page 57 and was designed by Winter Sims. Her card was a baby card andused the COOLEST ribbon. But, I was mostly inspired by her clean, simple layout along with her color combination.
Today's card is my "case" of hers. I designed this card for a workshop last weekend. I used the Happy Moments stamp set from the current Sale-a-Bration catalog. I loved how the polka dots in the wrapping paper coordinated with the polka dots on the DSP and the polka dots on the ribbon!
You might not believe this, but I think I used a color for the very first time on this card....Green Galore. HELLO!!!! I love Green Galore with Pretty-in-Pink and Melon Mambo! FABULOUS! I simply used the ink from my ink pads with a blender pen to watercolor the image.
Here are all of the supplies I used to make this card:

- Melon Mambo Classic Ink
