Hello everyone! I know, I haven't blogged in awhile. I've been getting gentle and some not-so-gentle reminders lately from customers, friends, and my mother who thought I was sick since I hadn't blogged. Nope, I'm still here, I've just been busy. I have been stamping, I just haven't sat down to write about it! So, if all goes as planned, you can look forward to lots of new projects over the next week or so...and hopefully more.
The card I'm sharing with you today is a card I designed for my Stamp Club. Sarah was this month's hostess and specifically requested a Wedding Card that was VERY feminine that used NO GLITTER. I can do that!
Recognize the patterned paper in the background? Nope, I didn't think so. Most people overlook this FABULOUS paper. It's a specialty paper called "Bride" located on page 158 of the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog. There's also a Bridesmaid and a Groom version as well. The Bride paper is Whisper White. I know, you're scratching your head because mine looks Pretty in Pink. Well, you're right! What I love about this paper is that you can brayer color all over the paper and the swirls resist the ink. Now you can make your own, custom-colored paper! Everyone who has gotten to try this technique has loved it.
My husband got me a fabulous video recorder for Valentine's Day, so I'm going to attempt my first video tutorial instead of trying to describe it online. So now, you get to hear me too!!!
Don't laugh...I've already seen about 30 things that I'll do differently in my next tutorial. But, I'm pretty impressed with my first attempt!
