Last night was the first gathering of my In Color Club. Do you remember reading about it? Each month members of the In Color Club purchase the Ink, Reinker, Card Stock, Ribbon, and the Marker in the Color-of-the-Month. They chose to get together for a FREE class instead of receiving pre-made projects from me! Each month they get to make three free projects featuring a variety of color combos including the Color-of-the-Month. AND, each month one of the members will be the "hostess" and will get to pick out a minimum of $25 in free hostess merchandise!
This month's color is Pool Party. The layout for the card on the left was inspired by Mary Fish. I used the Domestic Goddess DSP (on sale this month for Buy 3 Get 1 Free). The colors are Pool Party, Whisper White, and Basic Gray.
The card in the middle was inspired by a card in the catalog. The colors in this card are Cajun Craze, Pool Party, River Rock, and Whisper White. The stamp sets used are French Foliage and Grateful Greetings. I embellished with a little linen thread and Regals Brads.
The card on the right was inspired by a card designed by Gail Guenther at last month's Philly Inkers Shoebox Swap. I think it came together nicely. As I was using this color combo (found in the Color Coach), it started to look like a baby card to me. AND, when I used the baby stamp from the Easy Events Stamp Set, I realized the waves matched the scallop border perfectly! Oh, and the polka dots on the duck's umbrella coordinates nicely with the Polka Dot Ribbon!
