I'm officially kicking off the next section of the catalog tour - Autumn. Unofficially, I consider that to be pages 28 through 33 in the Holiday Catalog. I'll probably be spending the next week on this section of the catalog before diving into Christmas. Today I'm sharing with you a card I used with the single stamp - Tweet Leaves. This affordable stamp (under $10!) is located on page 31 of the Holiday Catalog. It coordinates with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die on page 33. However, you don't need to have the die to enjoy the stamp!
To make the leaf, I started by cutting the maple leaf out of Very Vanilla Card Stock. I then colored the Tweet Leaves stamp using a variety of Stampin' Write Markers. I huffed the stamp then gently laid the card stock on top of the inked stamp. I gently rubbed the card stock to make sure the ink was transferred.
To make the woodgrain background, I used several new products in the Holiday Catalog on page 6. Stampin' Up! introduced Core'dinations Card Stock. One of the features I've always loved about Stampin' Up! card stock is that it's solid core - meaning the color goes all of the way through. However, sometimes you may want to change it up. Core'dinations card stock allows us to do just that! It's got a white core. You can emboss it witn an embossing folder (like I have here) and then lightly sand the raised edges with the brand new Stampin' Sanding Block. When you're done sanding, you can then pick up every speck of dust using the Core'dinations Dust Buddy. Yes, you really want to get a Dust Buddy (they're only $2.50).
I love the layered ribbon on the sample in the Holiday Catalog on page 31 so I copied it. I adhered a strip of Lucky Limeade ribbon and then wrapped some Early Espresso 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (white stitching removed) around the card. Finally I wrapped some linen thread through and tied it all up around a ribbon slide!
