About a week ago one of my co-workers asked if I could design her Thanksgiving Invitations this year. I was flattered that she'd ask. She throws a FABULOUS Thanksgiving dinner every year - at least I imagine it that way in my head! Each year she has a theme. This year's theme is cranberries. She and her husand have found a cranberry glaze for the turkey, there will be cranberry side dishes, there will be cranberries in the centerpieces. She goes all out. But, she was struggling to find invitations with cranberries. The best I could do was cranberry colored card stock (otherwise known as Cherry Cobbler). I designed a few invitations and she chose the one on the right. I'll also be printing up menus, place cards, and possibly favors to coordinate.
The invite she chose uses Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, and Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. I cut out leaves using the Autumn Accent die from Cherry Cobbler and Champagne Glimmer Paper. I embossed the Cherry Cobbler leaf using the woodgrain embossing folder.
