Did you stamp any cards this past Saturday? It was World Card Making Day. I did! I made several projects. One was a wedding card that I've already given away. This is sad...I don't remember the last time I actually sent a hand-stamped card to someone. Seriously. Months. It's sad. I didn't actually take a photo of it, but I will be creating a similar card for my stamp club next week so I'll share it with you.
Today's card was inspired by a lot of cards I've seen or received. The color scheme was inspired by a couple of cards I've received from my friend, Claire. But, apparently the layout was subconsciously cased from Shelli! I posted this card on Facebook while I was making it and one of my friends commented that it looked a lot like a Shelli card. And, she's right! I had looked at her blog a few days earlier and it must have stuck.
I am absolutely in love with the Etruscan Elegance Jumbo Wheel. Seriously in love with it. I don't love wheels. But, I keep find myself reaching for this one. I rolled it up the side of the card. Who does that? I did! I like it! I then cut some leaves using the Autumn Accents die using some More Mustanrd, Raspberry Ripple, and Champage Glimmer paper. I embossed the leaves using the Woodgrain and Houndstooth folders. The sentiment is stamped in Island Indigo classic ink using a sentiment from the Sweet Essentials Stamp Set (w-126455 or c-126457).
