Hello friends! As you may know, this week is the Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Fiji. I earned it, but my husband and I decided to sit this one out but still take the week off. Like many of you, I am stalking blogs and Facebook to see what they're up to. And, to see what fabulous pillow gifts they've been receiving. Even though we "cashed out", I still get all of the pillow gifts! I can't wait for them to arrive!
We are having a FABULOUSLY relaxing week vacationing to absolutely nowhere! Well, that's not entirely true. We went down to the family beach house in Ocean City, NJ for the first 4-1/2 days. It was wonderful. We introduced our puppy, Baxter, to the beach (he loved it). We didn't know how long we'd stay. I think I packed for a week and a half! We just figured we'd come home when the mood struck us. Well, we headed home yesterday afternoon. There are a few things we'd like to get done around the house. I am LOVING this vacation.
But, I thought you might still enjoy some inspiration. Today I thought I'd share some of my favorite swaps from the Salt Lake City Regional a couple of weekends ago.
This first swap was created by Tammy Smith. Do you recognize that image? Neither did I. It's actually printed using MDS. The download is called Wedding Wheels - item 129590. And, it's only $1.95!!! I actually asked Tammy when I swapped with her if it was a current stamp. (I was a little embarassed to ask.) But, I'm so glad I did! I had NO IDEA it was printed and not stamped. I just think this is an absolutely gorgeous MDS Hybrid card!
The next swap was created by my friend, fellow demonstrator, and SLC roomie, Ilina Crouse. I love her use of the White Gel Pen. She PERFECTLY outlined the focal point and then created faux stitched ribbon along the bottom using the pen. That takes far more patience tha I have. And, the background she created is absolutely GORGEOUS! I'm gonna have to try it.
Finally, the third swap of the day was created by Jason Casper. Yes, a guy. I absolute LOVE his style! I love his use of the Swallowtail stamp on this card. I love the color combo (inspired by the Epic Day DSP). I love the splatter. It's actually a very simple, very reproducable card. LOVE it!
I hope one, two, or all of these cards inspire you today. Over the next several days, I hope to get out my sneak peek items (they've ALL arrived) and make some samples. I have a "Guy Card Class" for which I want to design samples. And, I want to finish pulling out the remainder of my retiring products for my HUGE, GINORMOUS, LARGER-THAN-EVER Retirement Sale next month. Will you be there?
