Thanks for stopping by! I hope you've been enjoying the other golden projects created by the members of the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop.
My contribution to the hop was inspired by a card I created for my monthly stamp club earlier this month. Here's my original. I didn't start out planning to case myself. I actually wanted to make something original, but subconsiously I guess I didn't want to.
I'm not sure if you can tell from the photo, but the card is 5"x5". And, as my husband pointed out, it's not very mailable.
Here are the supplies I used on this card:
- Perfect Pennants Stamp Set
- Dictionary Stamp
- Gold Foil Paper
- Very Vanilla Cardstock
- Crisp Cantaloupe Cardstock
- Gold Metalic Encore Ink
- Clear Embossing Powder
- Heat Tool
- Big Shot
- Spiral Flower Die
- Sponge Dauber
- Chalk Talk Framelits
- Secret Garden Framelits
- Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (FREE SAB product)
- Basic Pearls
- Hot Glue Gun (not an SU product)
- Silicone Craft Sheet
To make the flowers, I used my bone folder to break the fibers in the flowers before curling. I also used it to curl the petals "back". I then added some Metalic Gold Encore ink to the edges of the flowers using a sponge dauber. My adhesive of choise for the flowers is a hot glue gun because the glue "dries" so quickly.
I've added some close-up shots of the flowers and layering. Click on the photos below to enlarge.

Beautiful card! I love your roses. Curling them a bit really changes them.
