Welcome to my blog! If you landed here through the blog hop, I hope you're enjoying everyone's cute creations! I love that so many of us made a project featuring some sort of punch art. I had been planning to also create a punch art character for this month's project, but wanted to mix it up a bit. I almost immediately stumbled upon this card over on Pinterest when searching for ideas.
I always love it when people use corrugated cardboard on their cards (the original actually doesn't). I quickly learned that corrugated cardboard doesn't easily fit in Stampin' Up! punches. Thank goodness for Circles Collection Framelits! I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the ears which I sponged to match. It actually matches better in person - it looks much lighter in the photos.
To make the grass, I folded the Creped Filter Paper to create 8 layers. I adhered them with Sticky Strip then used my Fringe Scissors to cut grass. I wanted thinner grass so I just randomly chopped away at the creped filter paper. Next, I spritzed the grass with a mixture of Pear Pizzazz reinker and rubbing alcohol. After it dried, I fluffed it up and adhered it to the card. Whadya think?
Here's a close-up of the grass....
Thanks for hopping along with us this month! Be sure to keep hopping through all 13 of the Stamper's Dozen! I hope we inspire you to stamp something this weekend!

Very cute. The corrugated paper makes it look like a cookie.
