Today is all about my dog, Baxter. We're taking him to a Paws for Art event then getting him groomed. I didn't plan to design a card for the occasion - it just happened. I created this card this morning before Baxter's day began. I simply had some time to stamp and took advantage of the opportunity. It was intended to be a birthday card - for no one specific. But then when I read the sentiment as I was sitting down to blog about it, I realized the fun coincidence!
The card layout was inspired by this card created by my friend, Robin Merriman. While she used tons of products out of the Occasions Catalog, I did not. She used the banners framelits to create her banners. I handcut mine (because I like making things harder than they need to be). Here are all of the supplies I used to create my version:
- Really Good Greetings Stamp Set
- Etcetera Designer Series Paper
- Very Vanilla, Night of Navy, and Crumb Cake Card Stock
- Honeycomb Embossing Folder and Big Shot
- Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon
- 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon
- Antique Brads
- Night of Navy Ink
- Paper Piercing Tool
