Last Saturday Mike and I were invited to a couple of birthday parties. Mason's birthday was first! He's the 5 year old son of one of my high school girlfriends. I'm lucky to have a really close group of girlfriends from high school. We get together just about every month. Due to busy schedules, we set our dates for the year in January. Some months some can't attend - especially now that kids are involved! But, it's great that we all make an effort to get together. Mason had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed birthday party. I didn't know they were popular again. I figured Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles might be an easy punch art project and when I searched online I found quite a few samples! Here's the card I came up with:
The next birthday party was for my Mother-in-Law. I just loved the doodling and layout I spotted on this card. I incorporated a couple of new catalog Sneak Peeks on mine. Did you spot them? I love the Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker's Twine (just like the thick baker's twine from Sale-a-Bration). It comes in all five of the 2013-2015 In Colors. YUMMY. The second is Lullaby Designer Series Paper. Think my mother-in-law realized I used baby-themed paper on her card? I sure hope not!
