I couldn't have timed this vacation any better! I certainly wasn't thinking about ordering new products when I decided to take off of work this week. And, I certainly wasn't thinking about the timing of my return flight when I booked the trip to the Catalog Premiere. BUT, it couldn't have worked out any better! I was able to place my "pre-order" moments before boarding my flight home at 11pm Pacific Time and it arrived today!
However, today's card features a stamp set that only about 450 demonstrators in the US have - Flamingo Lingo! What I've been calling the Catalog Premiere "After Party" was a bit of a blur, but I think this was one of Shelli's "favorite things". It's the 2014-2015 Ronald McDonald House stamp set. Every time someone orders this stamp set, Stampin' Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities! And, it's super cute! It also coordinates with SO many tools you probably already own - three different punches and a set of framelits. And, no, there is no new framelit for that flamingo, I hand-cut him!!! It's amazing he didn't lose a leg!
I posted a photo of this card on my Facebook Page a little bit ago and it seems that you guys LOVE this card. I wish I could take credit for it. I don't know about you, but when I sit down with a stack of brand new products, I never know where to begin. So, I turned to the catalog for inspiration. This card is almost an exact copy of the card on the last page of the new catalog.
Not knowing exactly what Stampin' Up! used on the card, I guessed. The colors I used are Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry, and Pistachio Pudding. They may have used the new yellow - Hello Honey - on theirs. The actual supply list won't be posted until June but I'm pleased with the color combo - certainly not one that I would have put together on my own!.
