Are you ready for some Sneak Peeks from the Holiday Catalog? I can't wait to get home from work tonight and dig into the box of Holiday Catalog products that are due to arrive today. Demonstrators were able to start purchasing products out of the Holiday Catalog on Friday. However, customers won't be able to order from the catalog until the 28th of this month. Impatient? Want to get your hands on these products now? Why not join Stampin' Up!? You can get these items in your starter kit and start playing this month, too!
I'm so totally in love with today's card. I had spotted this card over on Pinterest the other day. It doesn't appear to use anything SU, but I knew I could recreate it using SU products. And, oh my goodness, I did!
When I sat down to make the card, I really had no plan in mind other than to stamp a banner and layer it over some burlap ribbon - frayed on all four sides. That's when I spotted two adorable wooden leaves leftover from a convention Make & Take that never got finished!
The stamped images (there are a couple) are from the upcoming Project Life Holiday Cheer stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso on a scrap of Very Vanilla Card Stock and carefully colored the "so" using my Hello Honey Stampin' Write marker. I also made a second banner out of Hello Honey scrap and stamped a "design" - for lack of a better word - in Hello Honey.
I adhered my banners to a scrap of burlap ribbon that I'd frayed on all four sides. I adhered my banners to my burlap and my burlap to my card base using Sticky Strip. I then adhered one of the wooden leaves from the Autumn Wooden Elements to my burlap using Glue Dots. To embellish, I added a Cajun Craze Candy Dot.
My card base is Very Vanilla with two more layers of Very Vanilla. I'm absolutely in love with this Clean and Simple card! I hope you enjoyed seeing it!
