I'm sharing this week's Twelve Weeks of Halloween project a day early this week since tomorrow is our blog hop. Today's project features all sorts of Holiday Catalog sneak peeks.
First, I created the box using the brand new Gift Box Punch Board which will be available later this month. This punch board makes a variety of boxes in an assortment of sizes from 2"x2" up to 4"x4". That may not sound like much, but they're not all square. Some are tall and skinny. Others are short and fat. I'll have an impressive display of boxes all decked out for Christmas at my open house next weekend. I guarantee they'll be there because the display is already complete!
I added a belly band around the box out of the new Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper then wrapped Basic Black Baker's Twine around the box five times.
The box topper is made from our crepe tissue paper. I used every one of the circles in the pack, cut them with the Flower Frenzy Bigz Die. I spritzed them with a mixture of Bermuda Bay reinker and rubbing alcohol.
The tag was created with the new Merry Everything stamp set and Note Tag Punch (both bundled and available in the Holiday Catalog). I stamped the image in Memento ink and colored dracula's face with the darkest of the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities. Sure looks like Bermuda Bay, doesn't it?
Finally, I used some White & Tangerine Tango Two-Tone trim to tie the tag to the box. I'm totally in love with this new "ribbon". It's five times thicker than the regular Baker's Twine. And, it also comes in Old Olive.
I think this little box would be a perfect "Boo Surprise" for a neighbor or friend filled with treats!
