Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for July. This is my first month participating with the group and I'm so thrilled to be creating with some of the WORLD'S TOP DEMONSTRATORS! That's right - this hop features Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world.
This month we are excited to show off some of the exciting products in the Holiday Catalog. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.
You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - (Kristin Kortonick) or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Kristin Kortonick's Blog.
Last week I shared a gorgeous card I made for a swap with some of the top leaders in Stampin' Up! I've been impatiently waiting to share today's card with you for more than a week!!! This is the second card I created for that swap - and I love it! I knew it would be perfect for today's hop. However, while this was the prototype, I wimped out on the cards for the swap and didn't tie the bow and ornament through the snowflake.
There's SO MUCH going on on this card...let's pick it apart, shall we?
First, the tag - oh my gosh, I love the tag! It's on Crumb Cake cardstock. I adhered a bit of Season of Cheer Designer Washi Tape along the bottom. Next, using my Fine Tip Glue Pen, I adhered the teeniest strip of Gold Foil above the washi. Did you even notice it? It just pokes out to the right of the tree. Speaking of the tree, I cut it out of the new Home for Christmas DSP (the song, by the way, is Silent Night) using the Perfect Pines Framelits. I also stamped the Crumb Cake tag in Crumb Cake using the stamp set that comes bundled with the Perfect Pines framelits - Peaceful Pines. There are three different size trees. I used the largest.
Now let's get into the embellishments on the tag... I used the Snowflake Elements and tied a bow with the teeniest ornament which is also stamped and cut from the Perfect Pines Framelits and Peaceful Pines stamp set. LOVE THEM! I then topped the tag with some crochet trim and linen thread. Whew!
And, finally, the rest of the card...the little Cherry Cobbler striped flag is also from Home for Christmas DSP. And how about that embossing? That was done using the new Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Finally the sentiment, it comes from the Versatile Christmas stamp set which is loaded with inside AND outside Christmas greetings! A must have if you're creating your own Christmas cards.
Do you have a running wish list for the Holiday Catalog? If so (of even if you don't yet), here are the products you need to add to your wish list:

I've long loved your style Kristin! I need to get out this embossing folder and use it. And I'm with you. I would have wimped out on tying that ornament through the snowflakes on more than one card too.
