I busted out a few of the Easter-themed stamp sets from the Occasions Catalog in preparation for a workshop next weekend. Today's card is one that the attendees will make and it was inspired by Helene den Breejen.
If you checked out her card, I'm sure you spotted the similarities - the layout. However, I used a little different approach to coloring my little guy. I think she may have used some blender pens. I colored my focal point using only sponge daubers and Q-Tips...oh, and a Smoky Slater marker for the hooves.
I'm not a watercolorer. And I wanted a soft, look to the focal point. So, I swirled on some Pink Pirouette using a Q-Tip on the lamp's cheeks and ears. I then used a Sponge Dauber and some Wild Wasabi and swirled some green in the grass. I punched a cloud out of a Post-It Note to mask in some clounds and swirled Soft Sky ink usking another Sponge Dauber to make the blue sky. How do you think he turned out?
