Who doesn't like getting something for free? I've never met anyone who didn't like getting something for free. Well, yesterday Stampin' Up! released three additional items you can choose for free every time you spend $50. So, if you place a $150 order, you can get all three for free! At least that's the way I shop!
I just think the new Pedal Pusher stamp set is just the cutest! I had to laugh when I made this card. I started by stamping and coloring the bicycle. I didn't have a particular color scheme in mind, but I went straight to Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay, and Watermelon Wonder. Then I added some Cucumber Crush and Crushed Curry. Do you know what I did? I picked out the exact color combo in the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack! And there were a PERFECTLY cut scrap sitting on the top of my pack. It was like divine intervention or something. The layout came together easily. I was FINALLY able to incorporate some of that yummy Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon. It was a great start to a great stamping day.....and then it happened.....I smudged the focal point in a spot that couldn't be hidden as I was adhering the final layer. I must have stared at that smudge for at least 5 minutes. I knew deep down I had to restamp and color the bicycle. But I just couldn't bring myself to do it. In the end I did. And, I changed a few things (for the better). But can you relate?
This set is SO fun! It's like "the truck" or the new, cute little Beetle in the Occasions Catalog. I love any stamp set where you can add accessories - like a flag, a basket, flowers, WINE AND BREAD, and more! Oh....and did I mention it's FREE...FREE FREE FREE!?!?!?
I've listed the supplies below, but here are the Stampin' Write Marker colors I used: Crushed Curry, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder, and Basic Gray.
